How to change your theory test date?
You can change your DVSA driving theory test to an earlier or later date, or you can change the test centre you take it at.
You must give at least 3 clear working days notice to change your test date or you’ll have to pay again. Sundays and public holidays don’t count as working days. If you are not able to provide sufficient notice, you will need to cancel the theory test and lose the test fee and then re book it later.
You can change theory test date and time:
- online, start here>>
- by phone, call 0300 200 11 22
Before you start you’ll need your provisional driving licence number.
Call DVSA (you can call Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm) if you have any problems changing the date of your theory test online.
I have not had many about road signs I thought there will be more road sign pictures included in Mock test, could you tell me why there are not many included?
There are official DVSA Theory Test Revision questions on 1DRIVER and DVSA do not provide more questions with road signs.
But you can review and learn all road signs using this Road sigs test >>
I want to take my motorcycle theory test. Does your site have test questions and hazard perception clips for this?
Yes. On 1DRIVER THEORY there are official revision question bank for motorcycle, car lorry and bus. Also there are official examples of hazard perception clips. The clips are the same for all the categories in Theory test and in 1DRIVER as well.
What does the driving theory test entail?
The driving theory test is made up of two parts, the multiple choice part and the hazard perception part, both taken on the same day, at the same exam sitting.
If you pass one part and fail the other you will fail the whole test, and you'll need to take both parts again.
As part of the multiple choice section of the test, the case study will assess candidates' understanding of driving theory, while the multiple choice questions will continue to assess their knowledge of the subject.
In the hazard perception test you will be presented with a series of 14 video clips each about a minute long, which feature every day road scenes. In each clip there'll be at least one developing hazard, but one of the clips will feature two developing hazards.
Only after passing the driving theory test you can apply to take your practical driving test (car practical test or motorcycle practical test).
Our website contains all the official DVSA driving theory test revision questions for car, motorbike, bus and lorry learner drivers online, as well as helpful explanations, statistical progress monitoring and useful links.
How long does the Hazard Perception test last?
Hazard Perception test lasts about 20 minutes.
After you finish the multiple-choice section of the theory test you will be permitted a break of up to 3 minutes and short tutorial video on the hazard perception test will play.
Hazard Perception test consists of 14 video clips, each about a minute long.
What to take to a driving theory test?
Bring to your theory test both parts of your provisional driving licence. This is the licence card and the paper counterpart. Without these it is highly unlikely that your theory test will go ahead and you will lose your test fee.
If you have an old-style paper licence, you must take your signed driving licence and a valid passport. No other form of photographic identification will be accepted.
Theory test booking confirmation letter or printed e-mail is not essential but is generally a good idea to take with you in case any issues of bookings arise. More information here>>
